Missing appointments you normally wouldn’t miss?

You used to be known for your organization skills.

When new people got hired, they’d be sent to you for help on setting up their schedules and To Do lists.

But lately – you’ve been missing appointments that in the past you never would have missed.

You’re at work and you get the call from your partner about an appointment for your child wondering where you are…?

You don’t get what’s happening with you. How are you missing these?

Right now, you think it’s because you are barely staying afloat.

You’ve stepped into a new role at work and you’re afraid you’re failing at it.

You feel stressed.

What you’re not seeing here, is that it’s ❌ not ❌ your new role that is creating stress for you. It’s ❌ not ❌ your new role that is having you miss appointments.

✅ It’s the thought ✅ you’re harbouring that – you’re failing at this.

When you think the thought – I’m failing at this – that thought makes you feel stressed in your body.

When you feel stressed

⦾ You miss appointments you normally wouldn’t miss
⦾ You hide in your office and close the door
⦾ You stumble on your words in meetings with your boss and clients
⦾ You pretend you’re fine when people ask ‘How’s the new role going!?’
⦾ You don’t ask for help
⦾ You eat junk food in secret

And so, you create a result for yourself – where to you… you really are failing.

Your thought reinforces itself. 😢

But what if I told you that – this is actually good news.

That, now that we know the thought that is driving these actions for you (actions you don’t like, and that don’t lead you to succeeding at work) we can change it.

What if you felt curious in your new job instead?

What if instead of thinking ‘I’m failing at this’ you thought → ‘I want to learn this

Maybe from there you’d –

⦾ Be more vocal in the teams chat
⦾ Set up more 1:1’s with successful peers
⦾ Read and listen to podcasts relevant to your work
⦾ Stop hiding from conversations and closing your door
⦾ Have more energy at home
⦾ Show up to appointments when you say you will

Maybe from this thought, instead of creating ‘failure’ you’d create an experience where:

You learn this!! 🎉

This is the power ONE thought can have on changing whether you succeed or fail at your new role.

And the ripple effects show up not only in your role, but in–

✅ Your relationship with your family (more energy at home & no missed appointments)

✅ Your health (less stress & secret junk food binges)

✅ Your income (learning what you need to learn to make that bonus happen!)

If you’re not showing up in a way that you love…

If you’re worried about failing in your new role…

Now is the time to reach out. Not later… not someday… right. now.

My Love Leadership 1:1 coaching program guarantees you the results you’re looking for.

You just need to say YES to you first.
