Advice you’ve never been given (about team culture)

What if you could improve your team culture with a dog calendar?

This was something that came out of one of the Team Synergy sessions I did with a team a while back.

A dog calendar - I kid you not.

We often think that the challenges we are up against when building a fine-tuned team in a remote context are big and overwhelming.

But that’s simply because we’re not clear on what the challenges really are.

We’re assuming. We’re catastrophizing. We’re putting off finding out.

But when we take the time to really get clear on what’s working and what’s not about your team’s culture, and what the team wants to dream up to make it even better, we may get surprised by what the team has to say.

And yes, some of the things that come up may take some time to consider and implement.

But lots of things that come up will be quick and easy to implement too.

Like a dog calendar. A calendar with all of the team’s dog photos for each month of the year.

At the end of the day, you’ll never build the PERFECT team culture.

And there will always be things to improve on.

But by simply investing in your team, and asking them – how can we do this even better? – I promise you your culture will be stronger for it.

And that will mean - Less turnover. Better work product. Happy clients. Happy you.

So don’t put off investing in the Team Synergy Program for your team because you are afraid of uncovering the issues. Or the work you’ll have to put in to address them.

What you will really find - is a lot of low-hanging fruit that you can implement straight away to start making your and your team’s life better - today.

What if it were as easy as a dog calendar?
