Tired of your day getting derailed?

You started your Monday off right.

You felt calm, you mapped out your to do list and got clear on your priorities.

You even blocked periods of time off in your calendar to try to make some headway on some of the big projects you’ve been lagging on moving ahead.

You feel aligned and motivated for what you have on your plate this week.

But then you get a ping - with a quick question. You answer. It takes longer then you expected. You end up helping out a colleague who needed you.

You then get pulled into your emails, reading through, flagging some for later, responding to some in the moment.

You need a coffee.

You sit back down at your desk and your energy is not the same. But you push through.

The thought in your head is - I need to get this done.

That thought makes you feel pressured and stuck.

You spend your allotted time working on the project you had planned, but you don’t feel further along.

No result was created - and you feel like you’ll have to go back anyway because what you did - wasn’t really good enough.

You respond to a few more emails.

It’s lunch. And you feel disheartened and frustrated because you’re thinking:

I got nothing done.

How familiar is this to you? I know I’ve been guilty of these mornings many times.

We think it’s because ‘things come up’ and ‘we were needed’, but what it really is, is us not taking responsibility for how we spend our time.

And when we don’t take that responsibility, we give over that responsibility to whatever comes up and whoever needs us in the moment.

We stay in an energy of DOING (read: busy-work) rather than PRODUCING (read: results).

And that makes us exhausted and unfulfilled. AND it sets the tone for the culture you’re building around you at work.

If you find yourself in this routine, or your brain is fighting me on this and saying ‘no but really - things DO keep coming up’ get in touch today.

Don’t let another day, or week, or month go by where you are giving away your time (your greatest commodity) to the things that don’t move you forward.

Don’t get stuck in the belief that things are out of your control, and that work is simply ‘exhausting’ and ‘you can never get things done.’

When you work with me, you will kiss that identity goodbye and you will learn how to show up and get the results you want, with more calm, ease and confidence then ever before.

And you will show your team how to do that too.
